“Our mission at Child Predator Alert is to expose those who are distributing and downloading sexual content of children. Our in-depth knowledge of how sexual exploitation materials are disseminated through the internet. Our process significantly reduces the re-victimization of children to prevent further suffering of the most vulnerable. We are effectively removing the blanket of secrecy to expose those who seek to harm children and force a real solution to child sexual exploitation. Children are and always have been the future and through Child Predator Alert there is no more hiding in the shadows. Together, we can save them from the brutality of the loss of their right to feel safe and allow them to remain “children”.”
Child Predator Alert partners with Non-Profit Organizations, Academia, and any other organization that have the fight against Child Sexual Abuse Materials as a priority.
Child Predator Alert believes that data sharing is a crucial step in the fight against the production and the dissemination of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.
The wide accessibility of Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM) on peer networks combined with a protocol that aims to make downloads faster and safer has become the perfect nightmare for the victims of CSAM: Peer networks have become a dumb gateway to a distribution network for CSAM in which the peers do not know each other. The only thing they share in common is an interest in a particular file – or several of them.
Through Child Predator Alerts databases containing unique identifiers, distribution networks for CSAM can be identified and even discovered. Child Predator Alert is not about identifying the networks and arresting the criminals: Child Predator Alert is about turning off the tap and preventing these files from being downloaded in the first place.
If files containing CSAM can be identified, the transmission of this file could also be blocked – preventing, for example, criminals from assembling collections depicting the worst moments of a child’s life in quantities often exceeding more than a thousand files.
Beyond the numbers, very little is known about the true structure of CSAM networks, and how the interact with other networks observed in other environments. Child Predator Alert will be an open door to conduct, in cooperation with Big Tech Companies and others, for the first time these cross-data analysis that will allow us to disrupt CSAM networks that operate on the confidence that data is not being cross-checked anywhere at scale.
Due to limited human resources, law enforcement agencies are not able to individually prosecute everyone who downloads a file containing CSAM through a peer network. This often causes criminals to be chosen according to the amount of files they download (amount of clicks) or according to the category of materials they download in the dark. Child Predator Alert believes that all victims of child sexual abuse deserve protection, regardless of whether the materials produced against them are classified as extreme or are presented as search results in a massive download.
Once the downloading of this content within a network is interrupted, the parallel feed of other channels on which this content is downloaded is also disrupted, which can drastically impact the availability of CSAM circulating within the Internet.
For the purpose, Child Predator Alert brings together top experts and management from around the world to redesign strategies to combat the dissemination and downloading of CSAM materials.
